The Ukrainian delegation, comprising representatives from the project "Promoting sustainable livestock management and ecosystem conservation in Northern Ukraine," the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination, participated in the FOLUR Regional Dialogue "Sustainable Maize and Wheat: Scaling Innovations for Resilience". The event took place from January 20 to 23, 2025, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Larysa Prisiazhniuk, Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination, PhD, Senior Researcher, presented the experience of Ukraine in sustainable practices for cultivating maize and wheat, as well as the integration of digital technologies in national agriculture. A key aspect of the event was the opportunity to learn about current and emerging trends in sustainable development and the resilience of value chains for maize and wheat in countries participating in the FOLUR (Food Systems, Land Use, and Restoration) program. The delegation also established new connections with international organizations involved in agricultural development, particularly in the areas of plant variety rights protection.
